It was a crazy long hard weekend of work. Not many hours sleep and a fair bit of angst that go hand-in-hand with a large system conversion I have been working on with a client. Monday, the morning-after, is always ugly even when such an event goes well and today was no exception.
However, I was able to scoot out of the office by 7:45, get home in time for a bite and then got to Elmira in time for my 9:00 game. Blue came out on top so on that basis alone, I’ll call the day a roaring success. It’s good to keep work and hockey in their proper relative priority and perspective. Some people love their work. I, other hand think they call it work for a reason. For me, work is not happiness. But hockey is.
